Is the VapoCept Supplement a Multivitamin, and What Does It Replace?

Quick answer

The VapoCept supplement is not a multivitamin. It lists seven lines per capsule: two nutrients, niacin 7.5 mg NE and calcium 18 mg, and five amino acid lines that add up to 640 mg. No other vitamins or minerals are listed. It replaces nothing in your diet or doctor's plan. Other ingredients are not published.

VapoCept supplement panel titled Inside VapoCept: a bottle surrounded by tiles for niacin, calcium, L-arginine, L-arginine AKG 2:1, L-citrulline HCl and beta-alanine
The brand's Inside VapoCept panel names six of the seven lines. It leaves out L-citrulline malate.

People who search VapoCept supplement often want to know what kind of product it is. Is it a vitamin pill? A brain pill? A sports powder in a capsule? The answer is none of those exactly.

This guide is for the reader who already takes a daily multivitamin or a few other products, and wants to know where VapoCept fits. We read the seven lines of the published panel, say what the capsule can and cannot stand in for, and list what to tell a pharmacist. We do not tell you to stop anything you take.

Key facts

  • Form: capsule. Serving: 1 capsule. Count: 30 per bottle. Directions: one capsule daily with an 8 oz glass of water.
  • Seven lines are printed: two nutrients and five amino acid lines.
  • The five amino acid lines add up to 640 mg per capsule: 200 + 200 + 100 + 100 + 40.
  • No other vitamins or minerals are listed. It is not a multivitamin.
  • Other ingredients and the capsule material are not published.
  • VapoCept has not been approved by the FDA, which holds for every supplement.

What kind of product is the VapoCept supplement?

It is a capsule dietary supplement built mostly from amino acids. Of the seven printed lines, five are amino acids: L-arginine, L-arginine AKG 2:1, L-citrulline HCl, L-citrulline malate and beta-alanine. The other two are niacin, a B vitamin, and calcium, a mineral.

The front label says Clinical Memory Restoration, with Focus, Clarity, Energy. That is label wording. No clinical study of this formula is published, and the amino acids on the panel are the subject of trials on blood pressure and exercise, at gram-level doses.

So, in plain terms, the VapoCept supplement is an amino acid capsule with two small nutrient lines added.

Is the VapoCept supplement a multivitamin?

No. A multivitamin lists a long row of vitamins and minerals. The VapoCept panel lists one vitamin and one mineral, and nothing else of that kind. If you want broad nutrient cover, a capsule with seven lines will not give it.

The amounts are small as well. Niacin is 7.5 mg NE against the 16 mg NE a day adult men need, which is close to half. Calcium is 18 mg against the 1,000 mg a day adults aged 19 to 70 need, which is about 2 percent. The NIH fact sheets give those needs.

Niacin7.5 mg NEMen need 16 mg NE a day. The supplement upper limit is 35 mg.
Calcium (as calcium carbonate)18 mgAdults 19 to 70 need 1,000 mg a day. The upper limit is 2,000 to 2,500 mg.

What does this capsule not replace?

It does not replace food, a doctor's plan or a medicine. It does not replace a multivitamin either, if your doctor has told you to take one. It is a separate product with a narrow list.

There is another point. Taking one more product does not erase a weak sleep habit, stress or a diet short on protein. Those habits often drive the very problems that send people looking for a focus supplement.

If your worry is memory, the first step is not a capsule. Our brain fog checklist lists what to rule out first, and a doctor can test for causes a supplement cannot touch.

Can you take it alongside a multivitamin?

The panel gives you enough to do the sum yourself. Add the niacin and calcium from the multivitamin's label to 7.5 mg NE and 18 mg from the capsule. Then compare the total with the upper limits: 35 mg for niacin from supplements, and 2,000 to 2,500 mg for calcium.

A capsule at 7.5 mg NE and 18 mg is unlikely to be the part that tips a total over a limit. Still, we are a website and not your pharmacist. Bring both bottles to a pharmacist and ask them to check the sum for you.

Do not take more than one capsule a day to make up a gap. Every number on the panel would double, including the niacin.

What should you tell a pharmacist about it?

A short list is enough. Say the product name and show the bottle or the panel. Say the dose: one capsule daily. Then raise these points:

  • Because arginine and citrulline can lower blood pressure, they may pile onto the effect of nitrates and blood pressure drugs.
  • You have a heart, kidney or blood pressure condition, if that is true.
  • You take a multivitamin or other supplements, and which ones.
  • You have an allergy or a strict diet. The other ingredients and capsule material are not published, so the order desk at +1 (507) 448-8190 is the place to ask.

A pharmacist can also tell you when to watch for a drop in blood pressure, such as dizziness on standing. Stop the product and see a doctor if that happens.

Is it worth a trial?

That depends on your goal. If you want a multivitamin, look elsewhere. If you are curious about an open-label amino acid capsule, and your doctor sees no problem, the 60-day guarantee lets you try it with limited risk. The guarantee starts on the date of purchase.

Order-desk data says most reviewers waited 3 to 6 weeks before judging, and the top complaint is a slow start. Keep your expectations modest and your notes honest.

Not a replacement for care

Remember that no supplement is FDA approved, VapoCept included. It is for adults 18 and over, and not for pregnancy or breastfeeding. See a doctor about any memory change.

Our view

Our view is that this capsule is easiest to understand when you stop calling it a vitamin. It is an amino acid capsule with two small nutrient lines, and the open panel lets you check that for yourself.

The label is honest about amounts, and the amounts are small next to study doses. Use that to set your expectations. For the full numbers, see the seven amounts against the research and the Supplement Facts page.
